This is a really important day for me.
Kiva Wu and I pieced this track together rather quickly (across many timezones & with our mutual friend, Google Translate) but I think it is one of the best to date. I am so grateful and lucky to work with someone as diversely talented and creative as Kiva. His contribution to this track breathed life into what was only a melody and a concept swirling around in my head.
It really means a lot to me, for a variety of reasons, but the biggest being that it represents something I absolutely, undoubtedly believe to be true.
Everyday you have 2 choices:
1. You can have a good day.
2. You can have a bad day.
Having seen and lived life through both perspectives, it clicked with me one day, after a series of weeks where I felt cripplingly depressed for no reason. On that day, I decided I was going to have a good day instead, and every time I have adopted that mindset, it's been a positive experience for me.
When you listen to this song, keep that in mind and really let the lyrics soak in. No matter what is going on today, or what bullshit has been thrown at you, know that you can have a good day today, if you want to, and if you choose to.
